Weekend’s must-see:
“The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler,” 9-11 p.m. Sunday, Channel 6 (CBS).As the Nazis tightened the Jewish ghetto in Warsaw, a young social worker found ways to walk children out, one at a time. She saved an estimated 2,500 lives.
That story is simplified here, to fit a two-hour spot. John Kent Harrison wrote it and directed it beautifully in Latvia; Anna Paquin gives a subtly solid performance as Sendler.
