Anna Paquin could be headed back to HBO as star and executive producer of the mini series “Madame X.” The network confirmed to EW Friday that she is currently attached to the project.

Based on Kate Manning’s novel My Notorious Life, the story follows Axie Muldoon as the penniless daughter of Irish immigrants who grows up to become a controversial midwife and abortionist. Her views clash with those of Anthony Comstock, a politician with set ideals of Victorian morality.

Sources close to the project have reportedly told The Wrap that her True Blood co-star and husband Stephen Moyer will also executive produce, along with Jack Black. The project is currently in development.
