Ok, this is another old news but is kind interesting, since Trick ‘r Treat is so underated:
Shock’s Top 25 Horror Films of the Decade
#5 – Trick ‘r Treat: Horror anthology films became something of a rarity post-”the new millennium,” so not only did writer-director Michael Dougherty’s love letter to the Halloween holiday succeed in bringing something original and unique to the format, but it managed to perfectly encapsulate all the things we love about Halloween by telling a beautifully-crafted story in which all the segments intertwine, connect and share characters. Each story showcases the point of view of Halloween from four different stages of each character’s ages, hence making it appealing to everyone that’s ever celebrated All Hallow’s Eve. It also introduces us to the wicked little Sam (short for “Samhain”), a mascot worthy of the holiday. This fan favorite will often be referred to as the “Pulp Fiction of horror”, or, “A Christmas Story for Halloween”. And multiple generations will celebrate Trick ‘r Treat for years to come by watching it every Halloween. – RobG.

Yeah, we a little late with the news, but here it is! By Nzherald.
Kiwi actress Anna Paquin has been nominated for two separate Golden Globes this year, an honour shared by Meryl Streep, Matt Damon and Sandra Bullock.
She received best actress nods for her lead role as Sookie Stackhouse in popular TV drama True Blood – for which she won the same award in January this year – as well as a part in the made-for-TV movie The Courageous Heart Of Irena Sendler.
The roles are vastly different – in True Blood, which is based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries novels by Charlaine Harris, she plays a telepathic waitress in small town Louisiana. Meanwhile, she takes on the part of a Polish social worker who smuggles Jewish children to safety during World War II in The Courageous Heart Of Irena Sendler.
As defending champion in the drama-series actress category, Paquin will compete with The Closer’s Kyra Sedgwick, Damages’ Glenn Close, Mad Men’s January Jones and The Good Wife’s Julianna Margulies.
True Blood has proved a runaway hit for HBO, and is now its most watched series since The Sopranos.
Sorry for the lack of updates guys. We’re a little busy here, but we still here ;)
Katie Holmes may have found romance with Tom Cruise in real life, but on the big screen she’s still looking for love. The actress has signed on to star opposite Anna Paquin in the upcoming indie romantic comedy, The Romantics.
According to Variety, the film originally starred Liv Tyler but she has recently been replaced with Holmes, who will also serve as an executive producer. The movie is set to start filming this week.
Holmes is just the latest to sign on in what is quickly becoming an all-star cast. Anna Paquin, Josh Duhamel, Malin Akerman, Elijah Wood, Adam Brody and Jeremy Strong are already on board.
slideThe story follows the uncomfortable love triangle between a maid-of-honor (Holmes), a bride (Paquin) and a groom (Duhamel).
So with Holmes just finished with a role in the upcoming horror film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, and Paquin thrilling fans as Sookie in True Blood, it looks like The Romantics will have plenty of star talent to go around.
Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are all smiles as they accept their “Best Horror Actor” awards at Spike TV’s Scream Awards 2009 held at the Greek Theatre on Saturday (October 17) in Los Angeles.
Anna, 27, and Stephen, 40, took home the “Best Horror Actor” awards for their respective genders, and True Blood took home the “Best TV Show” honor, presented by the cast of The Vampire Diaries.
The on-set and real-life lovebirds will take part in the upcoming thriller Open House, but the two will only make brief cameos in the movie. Anna’s brother Andrew is directing the film, out next year.
